I have the utmost faith in SW's coaches, they will home-in on his weakness's imo29wes28 wrote:Yes I am he's the worst defensive 7 in the world ok I maybe going over the top but you get my point. He hs a good passing game and an ok short kicking game and that's it. As for pairing him with Matty it wouldn't work IMO.

Tim smith is far to inconsistant and at 27, if he can't defend now he isn't going to learn to any time soon.
Do the trees feel cold when the wind blows?

Matty Smith is a done deal
Tim Smith no thanks

Sometimes you have to show faith in a young player and allow them to develop. Obrien seems to be doing very well at Wire. His halfback partner for GB academy v Aus was Sam Powell. Perhaps Powell or Mellor just need the time / patience to develop?
Re: Matty Smith
Agree entirely, Obrien looks very good indeed and when the time comes Wore will have a very good spine.
1 ratch 6 Obrien 7 Myler 9 not sure if they have youn quality 13 Harrison.

They have a few coming through, lad that has been on dual contract at Leigh now Hull KR and Ben Currie. looks like they will sign Bateman from the Bulls too.29wes28 wrote:Agree entirely, Obrien looks very good indeed and when the time comes Wore will have a very good spine.

I dont think people doubt Tim Smiths talent WG, its maybe doubts about his behaviour off the field that people have doubts with such as his chequered past of scuffles and drunken behaviour.waterside glens wrote:Why? I wouldn't mind a smith /smith combo .That is if we could keep timmy fully focused on his game.

I dismissed these suggestions as well but remember Tim Smith was here in the Noble administration. We've come along way since then. If SW brought him back, he'd obviously be sure he could deal with him?Panchitta Marra wrote: I dont think people doubt Tim Smiths talent WG, its maybe doubts about his behaviour off the field that people have doubts with such as his chequered past of scuffles and drunken behaviour.

Tim Smith has shown he can be a decent Superleague player, his passing game is very good and his kicking skills are pretty good too.Kittwazzer wrote:I dismissed these suggestions as well but remember Tim Smith was here in the Noble administration. IMO, Where he lacks is with leadership skills, he appears very immature.
