Hansen talks in this weeks Observer about how last seasons failures has created a new depth of desire amongst the players.

Smith and Green are hitting it off apparently.

Leadership group reintroduced; incl Lockers, Hansen, Micky Mac, Sam Powell and one other whose name escapes me.

Wigan are currently 11/4 with William Hill to finish top in the regular season. Again I see it being a two-horse race for the top spot (three if you include stains).

The key area is the half-backs, and whether they'll gel and if the side will be weaker, and by how much, with the departure of Leuluai and Finch. I'm more optimistic than most about Green joining the club and I think he adds a different dimension to what Wigan had previously in terms of how he plays and what he offers.

Anyone else think that's a good value for a bet, or would everyone be lumping on Warrington at 9/4?

Having a mainly own grown squad with the minimum of quality oversea's players has never done Leeds any harm in recent year's!

If the squad included a number of oversea's players at the end of their careers who had come over here for a bit of a paid holiday, the moaning would be understandable. Instead we have a good young squad of players, supplemented, like Leeds by a small number of quality oversea's players who from what I can see want to play for the Warriors.
