And all 3 would offer more than Green who has been shite since the Exiles game. Righty. Lefty. Middley. My Arsey. He's no bloody good!
Well said Kittwazzer. Green should be on the next plane to anywhere as long as he doesn't stay at Wigan. He is not good enough and has not done anything since being at the Warriors to make me think any different.

Then you should know Sa'u is a great player as is Asotasi and Keating certainly isnt a poor player.
Im getting the impression your saying Keating isn't as good as Green. I think your twisting your words to suit your argument.
Not at all God, read the original post from Dave Highfive, he clearly said Wigan should be signing 'Great' foreign players, I responded by saying no team in SL is currently signing 'great' foreign players due to the money in the NRL. I never even mentioned players till he stated Meli and Chase hahaha, I said great foreign players are Cronk, Smith, Thaiday, Gallen, Slater, Marshall etc. I am not twisting any argument because I don't need to!!
You obviously know what "Dave" is trying to say hell i think Goulding and Taylor are great players yet they wont get selected for England in the WC. The likeliness of signing any of the players mentioned is obviously nil. Thats the reason why i think your twisting words.
No God you are trying to twist my words, a 'great' player is very rare and the names I mentioned are 'great' players as was Hanley and Edwards. Please remember he said 'great' not me, and the phrase 'great' to me means one of the best that has ever been, not Meli or Chase which is who he stated was great in his follow up post!

The pair of you are arguing about semantics. We all know we won't be signing a Hanley clone but compared to other teams we seem to be signing poorer players.
Whether any of them are great or not doesn't matter. It's how they stack up relatively to each other that counts and IMO we are on for a repeat of 2006 if we are not careful.

this heading could apply to a number of the squad, over the last two years in what position have we strengthened the team from what we had previous, coach included? I see that a number of the youngster have the potential but if Tuson sets the trend then we are descending or have descended into mediochrety develop, change improve or go under is the business mantra and we are not doing any of these and that lies at the door of the Owner

I write this just as he plays a shocking pass for Leeds to intercept for their first try. His kicking game is appalling, his defence likewise. Offers nothing to the team, hasn't done for months. Terrible form.
We should have signed Rangi Chase. To be fair both our halves are one trick ponies in that they only have (or think they have) a passing game. Their kicking game is average at best, they don't have the pace to break the line or the creativity to take the ball to the line and create an oppening for supporting players. The worst part of this is that the opposition know it as well!

Wane won't drop Green.

I figured there would be a we all hate Blake Green thread after last nights game. I'm not saying he is a great player or anything, but I always think people need balance so I'll add some.
Last night he set up our only try and created our next best opportunity also. There were a cuople of times her copped the blame from most of the crowd when it wasn't his fault. The best example was when he put in an admittedly sloppy kick on the last after he had created the opportuinty kicking from deep to Pat's wing. In that instance, Green did the right thing and the rest of the team were too set in the stuff they practice that they forgot how to express their talent. Green ran into the space towards the Leeds line whilst Smith thought it was better to stand waving his hands and everyone else set up for whatever they were told in practive to do. If Smith and a couple of other players had gone with Green and were there to chase his grubber the outcome might have been different. He was trying to ask a different question of the Leeds defence and no one else wanted to do that.
Yes, Green cost us a try with an awful pass, and yes his kicking game was awful, but he was also the player who made more good things happen than most in what was a poor night all round when we had the ball really.
If we pick Hampshire is he suddenly goingt o get more time and space to create things? I doubt it. He would have to play to the same structures the whole team are doing.
I'd play Powell. Everytime he has played instead of Green I think he has done more to commit the defenders towards him than Green and Smith generally do and this to me is what we need to do if we want to get expansive becuase if you aren't freezing your man at the least, the bloke you pass it to won't have anywhere to go.

It wasn't the right thing to do at all. He ought to have been aware of what was going on around him. The fact he put that totally inappropriate kick in was absolutely dire play on his part. Blaming the other players for that is way off the mark.
The two breaks he made for us were nothing particularly special but that and the kick to the wing were the only good things he did all night.

You don't put grubber kicks in when your attack is 10m behind you. An idiotic play and it was entirely Greens fault. No one elses.

He didn't v Hull.
