if you read down.to the 5th paragraph he talks about the world club, is it definently in Austrailia? i presume he is an aussie journalist and the article was from 5 days ago
He is certainly a very well respected journo worldwide albeir he is an Aussie.

Perth seems an absurd idea. Surely it has to be Sydney.
Thats what i thought, but at the very end he says DW Stadium Wigan is firming up as favourites to host it this year

With the present poor state of the economy in our country and the employment situation, it will be a big disapointment for the wast majority of supporters if the game is not held here at the DW Stadium.

Wrong time to be taking the game down under as less supporters will be able to afford it compared with a few season's ago, when times were better.

like he says, the economy is on its arse and the exchange rate is not as good as it used to be, i am very tempted to go over but would prefer to stay here,20 quid ticket; 30 quid for pints, job done!

:) 100% better for you but for RL? Much hotter climate. IIRC when Perth had a RL team just after the SL War the game were a bit like tag rugby. Much harder sell in Perth too. The easiest sell in Aus IMO is Queensland but a NSW Club v ourselves precludes that I think.

P.S Have they got a big garden? camping might be an option

Well I've been in Queensland for 3 weeks now and I would be stoked if it was in Sydney, you can fly from Brisbane to Sydney return $150, come on Wigan make it happen.
