I stand by what i said, they are not real musicians therefore RAP shouldnt be classed as music it should be classed as noise. PS i am open minded, i have listened to 254749 songs/tracks by 2025 different bands/musicians in the last 7 year according to my Lastfm page.(it would have been a few thousand more if my pc hadn't stopped working in 2008)

I think with RAP it is as simple as you love it or hate it!! Old school RAP was far more mellow and I agree a lot of RAP now is contentious to say the least. However some recent RAP and lyrics are very appropriate and shows talent (maybe not talent in some peoples eyes obviously). I do believe everyone is entitled to an opinion and tastes but think this thread has got ridiculously out of hand. If you don't like RAP just say that or don't comment.

to be fair meds to play devils advocate a lot of them are musicians and play musical instruments. Pharrell for example can play a multitude of instruments.

I think it depends on what you define as a musician and that to me is someone who produces music and is devoted to their craft its not defined by your ability to play an instrument to a certain level.

I agree there is some absolute tonk like Jason Durulou or whatever his name is but there is some very very good artists out there.
