And If Ellery failed no doubt that would be Wanes fault as well...I've told you before you know more than any coach just go see IL and the job will be yours. I bet you are or where a teacher.

Thankfully, our club is no longer owned by a even bigger skinflint!medlocke wrote:Not if you are owned by a skinflintWintergreen wrote:It's very simple.
If you really want the club to be the best, then you go out and appoint the best coach you can afford.
AFAIK the coaches salary is outside the scope of the Salary Cap and as such, surely, is an area where the "big" clubs can outbid the smaller ones?

I cannot see TB coming to Wigan as the move is with a view to him becoming Manly coach next year to replace Geoff Toovey.Panchitta Marra wrote:http://m.smh.com.au/rugby-league/manly- ... h9ee9.html

Re: SOS to Ellery!
No to Ellery, not at any price!
Harris, a good technical coach but can't motivate.
Betts, we had him as a player, he left then came back and it didn't work out. Don't repeat the mistake as coach!
None of them would be as good as Shaun Wane is and has been over this past three years.
Although, Shaun has to turn around these dreadful away performances and results. These next three matches are so important for him, I do hope he does improve things I really do.

To be fair he was dropped right in at the deep end with hardly any experience, might have been a totaly different outcome if circumstances had been differentWiganer Ted wrote:No to Ellery, not at any price!
