A lot of people just can't see the issue here and things like this start to look like *everything* Wane does will be a problem for you. IMO Thats why some people are starting to think you have something personal against Wane and it undermines otherwise perfectly sensible arguements. The number of threafs after a loss also contribute to that impression. That is, of course, just my opinion and you are free to post whatever you like within the site guidelines that we try to keep as lose as possible.
I always find a reasonable arguement made clearly and with some balance carries more weight than well intentioned but reactionary outbursts.
For example all the recent posts writing off lockers games into his return from 4 months out seem a little over the top to me. But hey, I don't have to agree with everything on here, do I?
The comment re doing it better was far more than I simply want to do better, it was critical of what had been achieved and the manner it was achieved. However, given recent examples one thing is clear Wane and the media is a marriage made in the divorce courts not heaven!
Lockers? You will have to remind me? I back Lockers to my knowledge 100% At his best he may be even be better than Andy IMO.

I think the youngsters are getting better but we need to recruit some experience also. This idea of a homegrown team is not realistic, if we want to compete we need to get some better players in. We are being conned by IL, I know for a fact that Wigan dont pay decent money and if Rocky does go he will probably treble his money like Goulding did. Wanes not going to start his coaching by saying hes going to do worse than Madge, but I dont think the team is anywhere near the standard that Madge had.
I agree re the homegrown nonsense, it never was but who wants it most, who talks about it, WANE! How much experience do we need? We have plenty IMO Which players would you replace and with whom? IL might not be perfect but Madge got what he wanted from him; Wane has never complained and off the pitch the club seems to move forward. I believe in philanthropy but it is not my money and I am not an owner.
Wane has no choice, he was told the conditions before he took the job although he thought he may be able to get something changed. IL is never going to back the club like Moran does at warrington. Lots of rumours regarding IL finances and his commitment to Wigan.
Every coach has a choice. Madge never had a problem. Largely Wane and Rads sort out the squad with IL obviously having the final say but to my knowledge he backs whatever Wane / Rads suggest.
I do not buy too heavily into IL is an evil owner. There may be better but RL does not have the income to suggest what you insinuate.

On Lockers - not you. Others.
On thw interview - you just agreed we underachieved under Madge. So I'm still not sure why you think its unreasonable. At the very least its a marginal point but for you it seems cut and dried.
How many weeks roughly do you think you think you supported Wane for after his appointment? IIRC it was well before the double that you saw problems.

In other words, the novelty factor of a new Coach wearing off or is the absence of the other Sam?
This is not his second season though, it took a few years to reach the promised land at Souths. Both then for us and now for Souths he's dealing with a long term injury to one of his halves.

Never said it was his second season at Souths, only pointed that like ourselves, a Sam is no longer there and might have a bearing on things not being the same as when they were playing in both teams irrespective of any injury problems.
Wigan have not been the same team without our Sam and I am in no doubt Souths have been likewise without their Sam this season.

OK. It's fair to say any side would suffer after losing players of their calibre. But then Sam was still here in Madge's second season with us, so I'm still a little confused at the links your making.
Either way, it's fair to say we didn't fulfil our potential in Madge's second season, just like we failed to in Wane's third season and fourth so far (away from home). As one is in the past and one is in the present, only one gets criticism and the other just gets the good things remembered it seems. Wonder if when Wane's has gone he'll be remembered as fondly because of what he did achieve.
