Groundhog day AKA Sean Long springs to mind here minus any nasty reason for him leaving.
Surely Wigan won't sink so low by allowing this.

Brilliant, are they going to carry on with his MB mentorship?

If that happens I (like you) will call for SW's head. Rocky is class. It stands out a mile. No need to look for it it hits you in the face. Now for a bit of lateral thinking. 6...Rocky.

Wane, Radlinski, IFL hang your heads in shame if you have sold him to Saints.

It would be an utter disgrace :devi:

i have seen nothing from Hampshire that would make me even think for a second it would be worth disrupting the Williams/Smith partnership

Williams has made 6 his own this season and keeps getting better.

If smith was a Wigan Academy Product no one would be saying he should move out of the halfs. hes gone from a average player to a england international. his game management is great and his positional kicking is class.
yes hes sucks as a dedicated kicker but we were spoilt with richards.

as ive mentioned in another thread though, i never saw Hampshire play academey so i can only judge off what ive seen at superleague level.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Not only a disgrace IMO but a cardinal sin if Rocky goes to Saints ????

Have they such short memories that they've forgotten how the last half back we let go who found his way over the hill ruined us for over a decade?? ????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Saints have just announced Walsh has re-signed and taken up
his third year option on his contract.
Why would Hampshire go there where he wouldn't get in the first 17 either?
The Wigan BOD would have to be out of their minds to allow him to leave after make-weighting Sean Long who then found his way to St Helens.
Talk about repeating mistakes.

Ian Lenagan is asking for questions for his monthly Wigan t.v. spot. Maybe one of those who think Hampshire has signed or is signing for Saints should ask him on there.

If Saints sign Fages as is being rumoured that would put Hampshire even further down the line, unless he wants to play fullback there. Comparing the Hampshire situation to the Long one is ludicrous. Long was shown the door at Wigan after several disciplinary issues.

Personally do not rate Fages. George and Rocky are FAR better.
