I've been slowly losing interest in this great game of ours over the past few years, and I think its due to the following reasons;

1. The game / tactics seem to have shifted from individual skills to a "war of attrition" with "big units" running at each other until one side tires - rather than well worked plays or off the cuff skills.

2. The format of the league means that there is very little intensity in the first 23 rounds, with players and coaches saving themselves until play-off time. Also, I have little incentive to watch until the play-offs.

3. No ref in a televised match will make a decision without consulting the Video ref - makes the game more stop - start.

These are just my opinions, but it does mean that I am less likely to put up a fight for the TV remote on a Friday night (let alone make the 500 mile round trip to a match).

Take it back to 1994 rules and winter, summer has killed the sport, it's too wet
