A lot of the NRL players have been Bateman`s situation, I remember Bird coming to play for Catalans because he was accused of bottling his girlfriend. She dropped the charges and he is now back in the NRL.
It takes 2 to fight so shake hands and lets get on with playing rugby.
I for one would be delighted to see him back in the side.

A lot seems to depend on a players profile and standing in the club heirarchy. Remember Martin Aspinwall and Jon Clarke, same age as JB and both fired off to other clubs for fighting in town. (Not with each other).

Made my day love this guy,next club Captain & here for a long time. He has already turned down a move to the NRL last year. Just 3 more to go and I win a lollypop :slee1:

Not trying to be devils advocate, but if two people are involved in a scuffle, scrap, stand off, call it what you like, where I work, both people would be disciplined, irrespective of who started or finished it.
