Great Day: lovely weather, fantastic support - our end was full an hour before kick off and non stop singing, good performance - for this season anyway, good fun for my non-rugby supporting friends who came along - *and* free beer and food in Manchester at Cantena in Castlefield afterwards.
Not a bad way to spend a Bank Holiday at all.

Moran was outstanding today, both in attack and defense, looked a lot sharper than usual and after a litle chat with millward on the sidelines was even better, should have got MOTM over brown.
Well that has made my day Mrs_C praising Moran I told you Mrs_C hed get their one of these days

Well here is my tuppence worth for what its worth.
I agree with Geof 7/10 over all But Moran was too lazy first half & that KICK to touch ? I watched the reply at 9pm & salford player had foot on the line. Touch Judge was right behind him & bottled it but what else is new.
Over all we are getting better & lets hope we go on winning. I thought Tickle had a vg game as did all the young lads. My MOM would have been Tickle for his over all work rate.
My first time at Salford with my daughter & my nephew a new conver to RL & Wigan he want to come back for more so we must have been a bit good.
Thanks to Waterside Glen for the phone call at half time but could hardly hear you m8 & yes we did outsing the salford FANS all 10 of them

What a load of garbage that game was.
Wigan slightly the better of very poor teams.

Not at the willows i don't....I paid my money hoping to see a good game between what I thought (Salford home adv concidered) were 2 evenly matched sides.
I wasn't far wrong, the difference was the pace of Dallas and the boot of Tickle.
Its so obvious to me the problem with both Salford and Wigan are the forwards with the exception of Andy Coley are NOT strong/good enough.
Both Wigan and salford have fantastic backs Alker, Littler, Robinson; Dallas, Carney, Moran, Rads...but theres no chance that you'll see the already proven tallent behind very light packs.
Everybodies getting on the back of Moran and he doesn't deserve it playing behind a poor pack that has no go forward and offers him no protection to be able set up plays.
The problem this year lies directly on the shoulders of the person responsible for signings.

No no I told my boss I was on holiday, which I was but only on the Saturday night but I KNEW that she would put me down for Good Friday if I didn't get out of it quickly. I wouldn't miss that game for the world. I thinkI said on here at the time my whole family went Thursday night and I paid the extra money for two coaches and a train to Ayr even though I'm travel sick as owt. (Would have got two trains but the lines were down between Wigan and Carlisle)

I don't know what Millward whispered into Denis Moran's ear half way through the second half but it worked - he went out there like a man on fire - wonder what it was??????

Just watching it on Skyplus replay now don't know why I bothered, my dad and sis have been sat telling me exactly what will happen 10 seconds before it does. Very annoying.
Agree with what ChrisA (think it was Chris anyway) Trying the same moves we have been but some of them were coming off. Millward probably had an influence but not a big one, he has only been there a week.
Our defence started off strong, we were in a defensive line and not coming out of it to leave gaps however towards the end of the first half we slacked off a bit there (although we did score two tries instead) but this let Robinson do the footwork and get through. We should have also been ready for the quick play after Newton had booted theball out behind the sticks, instead we had our backs turned and we can't afford to do that against anyone in Superleague.
Tickle is looking good, thought both his and Browns tries were good and I'm looking forward to the second half now my family have gone shopping and left me in peace.
How weird is it though, seeing Millward cheer when Wigan scored?! For a second I felt like we were playing Saints, they'd scored and my stomach turned.

What a break from Dallas! Very good positioning and running from him and a great pass from Moran.
I was trying not to listen to Stevo but it's not working. Why is everything that doesn't come off for Salford "such a shame" or "sad" for them? And what is Harrison whinging about in that Wild try? Moran does get the boot to it and Wild does ground it so what's the problem? AND why are two of our second half tries just "rub of the green" or "lucky" ARGHHHHHHHHH
