When we signed him I said his body language was off. I might be completely wrong here but he just doesn't look like a player who wants to play for Wigan.
If I was coach I would only want players in my team that wanted to play.
Andrew Johns in his pomp wouldn't get a look in unless he wanted to play for the team.
If he wants out then the best thing that can happen is we let him stay in Aus.

Not sure that’s true as he probably could have stayed at Salford...
So why sign for Wigan if you don’t want to go? Only thing I could think is nobody from NRL wanted to sign him from Salford, even as MOS, so needed to move to a bigger club ?

I’ve always said this! He would get noticed in the NRL more playing for one of the bigger teams, no disrespect to Salford. I feel that is one of the reasons he signed for us.
He doesn’t even interact with the fans as he did at Salford he always appears stand-offish as if he’d sooner be somewhere else. Just my option at times!

Money and shop window for the NRL is the only reasons he's at Wigan IMO, Nothing more than a stepping stone

Yup a stepping stone, the same steppping stone that all players use to go on to better things in the sport,I’ve less problem with it than say a Williams type of player who the club have spent time and money on nurturing him along,it’s a short career so good luck to them.
He’s a pro sportsman who come for a couple of years in the hope the NRL will come calling listen to his podcast he will never have the same affinity with Wigan as he did with Salford because Salford saved his career simple as that,he would have been in an office job without them by now so I can understand why he feels the way he does over Watson, lease and the Salford club.
The way he’s been treated by some Wigan fans makes my mind boggle I wouldn’t want to come back given the constant will he won’t he soap opera either to be honest.
And one last thing Hastings was the one player who took time out to thank everyone (with an elbow bump)at that last pre COVID game at the DW I wouldn’t call that standoffish as most of the players had buggered off down the tunnel he was still by the corner flag

Even if that is true (and, as we see, opinion is divided), the bigger point for me is that he has always given 100% in a Wigan shirt, and I'm sure will continue to do so. That's really all we need from a professional sportsman.

Didn't have the relevant paperwork to leave Aus. The bloke has a Manager/Agent.
The pair of them know exactly what they are doing but are playing it out like they are the victims. Jacksons comments like “you dont know whats going on dont comment” his mam trying to wind folk up on twitter about “not having to put up with this much longer” the bloke is a grade A prick.
He’s also removed Wigan Warriors from his instagram bio. The bloke must think he’s a kid again the way he’s playing games. He doesnt like the fact Wigan are not chasing him like crazy.
Nathan Rugby - Hastings has lost a hell of a lot of respect from the playing group and staff over all this, regardless of what they say in the media it is almost inevitable that it comes to blows. I personally now believe Hastings will not be back. That is my view only I have been told nothing factual to support that. But he wasnt on the plane that I said he would be on over this weekend.

Forgot to say. Notice how Hastings always used to retweet/post wigan stuff on insta/twitter. That has stopped. And you will also notice the Wigan Players no longer engage with him on social media..... Regardless of what you feel about the situation. Hastings is effectively on strike.
