Shouldn’t it be a worry that we’re saying Powell did nothing wrong. How is a 9 not having an impact on the game at all. Like a statue from 9 slows the ball down to the half’s, obsessed with short balls that aren’t on 🗑

It’s all well and good doing nothing wrong but he also did very little right. It’s about time the club and a lot of fans accept he just isn’t that good. Maybe dropping him for a couple of weeks might help but I doubt it. Could get us on a roll zero speed at the play the ball with him behind it.

He is not talking shit at all. Hkr and Catalan had a plan slowing game down and well organised worked perfect. We hadn't a clue no leaders or organisation Not Powell bashing tho because. Smith cus was as bad. All played mediocre at best need take a good hard look at themselves.

Way too early in the season to say if this will be a problem or not, but at the moment.

1. Our pack is too small.
2. Our 6,7,9,13 creativity is virtually non existent
3. We have 2 players who excel in SL, who WILL deliver more as the ground firm up.
4. KPP will get totally smashed in the NRL. I just hope that we are not in for him when he comes back with his tail between his legs.


The issue is that the above combinations make it difficult to play against decent teams.

If we struggle with #1 above, then if we didn't have #2 then this could at least partially offset it, but we do have #2. #3 partially covers up for it (as it did last year) but this is not an "every game" fix.

Thought Mago had a good spell when he came on but our so called creative players did not perform and smithies is no 13 plays like an under weight prop gives away to many penalties when will he ever learn as soon as Isa left the right edge and replaced with KPP we replicated what we had at hkr and they scored poor coaching by MP

Our forwards were outplayed all night ,Mago made an impact but he's not on long enough, what Powell brings in attack just isn't good enough in today's game its as simple as that,we looked like this year's Warrington, tough game next week and these forwards have to do much better taking the ball up.

We need to play young Forber at hooker he gives a good fast ball out of the ruck

Cust has been poor for some time. The real issue is that he is not a halfback- no creativity and no pace, he needs dropping. Powell needs to sit alongside him given his performances this season. Smith was poor tonight but he is having to dictate the play without any support, if he plays badly so does the team.

Onto the forwards. Collectively they are not good enough. We need to drop KPP off at Manchester Airport, his mind is elsewhere. Isa is past his sell by date and our props are average. Whilst I am not writing off the season, I think it will be difficult for us to lift silverware. We need a major overall, especially our overseas players. Quality, not quantity, is required. We are paying good money to some average players.

Appreciate that this was my impression but Ellis/Singleton didn't seem to have many minutes?

Our only options to fix the front row is to start with Ellis/ONeil/Mago and Farrell/Havard/Smithies behind them?
