Not the best of games, we just went into our shell second half when we should have been on the attack and finishing them off.
At times we looked like we were just holding on, playing for time.
The penalty and six again stats should be interesting, Kendal gave us f**k all.
But in the end it was a win against stains and 2 points.

Hmm, it was a bit scrappy at times but very good at other times, sprinkle in two bits of magic for Field's tries and some brutal defence by Nsemba, O'Neil, Smith and French we are a hard to please bunch
Another perspective, watched with relatives and in Gloucester (so the Wade signing got tongues wagging) we were all entertained and on the edge of our seats at the end.
O’Neill makes a massive difference to our defence.
he's Micky Mac plus two

I think it was a very creditable performance. But not every match is a great game. Today's was nowhere near the standard of the HKR game, for example. That's not to say that there weren't some lovely moments, there generally are. Charriots' comment above nails it. And sure, the beer tastes sweeter! :D

I thought it was a great gesture from Matt Peet to congratulate George Whitby on his performance after the game. And what good interview he gave. Just hope playing with the likes of Welsby doesn’t spoil him!

The lad looks a talent that’s for sure I’d say he could be better than Wesley if he progresses, now if only saints had I don’t know a coach who was good in the halves.. :D the lad is in very safe hands I feel so let’s hope he can push on

Same here. You didn’t notice the quality of the game at the ground. At 18-14 the atmosphere was electric and then when Miski went over to make it 22-14 the place erupted.

My impression of the game were Saints made more errors than us early on but two of our errors led to the tries to make it 18-14 but what won it for us was in my opinion pinning them down to their end of the pitch with some good field kicking a top quality chase to tackle them in the 10m. Did that time and again.

As to the referee very inconsistent and Saints were at times miles offside but the video ref? Good grief how long did he take trying NOT to award Misk’s first try?

The ball clearly went backwards from the kick so if a player touched a player it didn’t matter if it was a Wigan or Saints player.

Whatever, I am going to have a very pleasant Easter weekend :D
The VR’s explanation of Smith’s disallowed try was bizarre as well. He said that Dupree had gone through the line, stood still and didn’t interfere with play, he then chalked the try off for Tyler preventing the Saints lad making the tackle. In my view it was a poor decision as Delaney was well beaten before he came into contact with Dupree.

Maybe Dupree needed Harry Potters magic disappearing cloak

To be fair to the video ref, with Miski's first try, he was looking to see if there was a double knock-on and I think Dupree had to be interfering with play, standing where he was for Smith's disallowed try.
I thought Saints missed a trick because although Lomax isn't on top form, he would have contributed more than Whitby. I know he's only a kid but you have to be judged on what you do on the field. Percival and Walmesley look to be on the way down so Saints have some rebuilding to do (as if I cared!)
O'Neill was top class and either him or Walters should have been MOM.

You’ll like this one, the Saints fans have accused Matt of tapping him up for Wigan 😂
