Scraping the bottom of the barrel here, Meds. (a) It's about Gordon Brown's Labour Party - two leaders ago, like quoting IDS, or was it Hague or Howard? (b) If you read the article, Robinson was stirring things up against the other Unionist party. Brown's letter was IN NO WAY equivalent to the Tories dealings with the DUP. As an intelligent bloke, you know this and are just playing your usual games.
It's a small step up from a quote from the Express even if it is seven years out of date.

My perception is this: Corbyn can't be trusted, even less so than most. Except his sidekicks McDonnell and Abbott, to name but two. Our country is full to bursting and his "keep the doors open" policy is utter bobbins. And that's just on immigration. I haven't the time to comment on all his other policies.
And most sensible people know it.
But you see you aren't being sensible when you say your perception is that he can't be trusted because his actions and statements over the years show he is far more trustworthy than any U turning Tory.
There is a video on Channel 4 of Corbyn interviews over the years:
If you watch that and look at what he has said it is very consistent. You may not agree with his position on things but you cannot argue he is not consistent so therefore to suggest he can't be trusted is a bit bizarre. Compare that to mayhem May and her U turns not just in the general election campaign over the dementia tax but things like raising N.I. contributions before that.
Comes out with policies and at the first sign of trouble they get binned. That is not the sign of a politician or a party that run on principle or is to be trusted. Whatever is written in a Tory manifesto is not worth the paper it is written on.
It has been like that for some time with the Tories yet up till now they have got away with it. Cameron with his "no top down reform of the NHS" and going back further Lamont and his cynical raising of VAT from 8% to 15% just so he could say he stuck to a manifesto pledge not to double VAT. Taking people for mugs as if it was all a game.
They have for some time been clearly of the opinion they can say one thing and do another if they can dream up an excuse.
I'm not being sensible? Even after all that you've put about Corbyn I won't change my mind about him and I'll tell you what the main reason is for keeping to that. You say he doesn't change his mind or do U-turns, well, wasn't that a U-turn the other week when he almost praised the police for shooting dead the bastards who killed those poor people in London? If that wasn't a U-turn, I don't know what is. On the subject of the last election, he knew he wasn't going to get elected, but thought he'd be a very generous Uncle Jeremy to countless students in offering a refund of their tuition fees, etc. Just how big IS that money tree of his? And you mention that the Tory manifesto is not worth the paper it's written on. There's a tad of irony in that, don't you think?
However, the main reason for my, in your view, not sensible comments is that my wife, who has been a Labour supporter for 49 years has said she could never, ever vote for Corbyn because of his affiliations with the IRA (and Hamas, etc.), and his objections and rejections of over 50 anti-terrorism laws, makes it plain to me, and to millions of others that he is not fit to not only be Prime Mininister, but to even stand for election. I put him in the same category as Blair, Mandelson, to name but two "Labour" members, along with Soubry and others, (Tory), who give me, and others the impression that they hate this country and are quite happy to be ruled by Germany and its lapdog France, something they couldn't do in two world wars.
Never.
NEVER!
I take it you voted for May.
You call out Corbyn on a potential 1 U Turn. May made U turns all the time it got that bad she had to re do some parts of her costed manifesto thats a laugh. Another point you make about Corbyn's costed manifesto. He had one May did not even cost hers.

May's manifesto was Strong and Stable
Now its Weak and gone by the end of the week.
You can take it that I voted in a secret ballot. If you've read any of my previous posts, apart from the one above, you will have gleaned that, since the age of eighteen, (I am now in my sixty-fourth year), I have voted for all the main parties.
Yes. All politicians make U-turns, some more than others, but to say Corbyn had his costings right is a bit puzzling. On several occasions I heard him stumbling as to how the country was going to pay for all his bribes to younger voters. To name but one.
I take it you voted for Corbyn.
May is the Prime Minister, Corbyn isn't.
1. Where in my comment have I said he had his so called bribes costed. I called it Corbyn's costed manifesto in sarcasm as no politician ever costs a manifesto. Its always bribes but who do you bribe is the biggest question. The billionaire-upper classes or the middle-working class. Non working long term able to work should never be bribed to.
2. I did not vote for Labour I know you will never believe that. But I live in the most pro Welsh speaking area in the World. But the seat was close really close it would have been the biggest shock all evening if Labour took it. Next election they will take it. Will look closer at the manifesto next time as I agree with parts of it but so do I with the Tories one.
3. May might be PM but she has no power now you know that. Brexit is now a quagmire. She called the election on an U Turn and it slapped her in the face. She had the mandate to take us out/
BTW no one politician has the right to attempt to keep us in the EU now. But this election has done one thing it will force politicians to talk cross party and that's a good thing.
those who keep spouting these IRA and Hamas links need to do a bit of research instead of just believing spoon fed daily mail smears.
i doubt anyone with the view will but he was also against Apartheid and was deamonised at the time for that view of course they could use that line of attack in 2017 though as he was right.
the Hamas as Friends its a twist on one situation and Corybn himself stated it was said in the context of getting everyone around a table.
Corybn spoke with both sides in NI and has been in record condemming both sides but queue some video editing and boom he wont condem the ira.
the tories actually have a IRA member in the ranks that promoted killing, thatcher was in back door discussion but lets forget that.
i don't mind to much that labour lost, but the reason people post are very poor
oh magic money.. apart from before the election the newspapers loved the ideas when he threaten to tax the big guys suddenly it cant work.
well it already does in other parts of the EU and lets compare scotlands education system to the uks
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Let's is a contraction of “let us.” You use it to make suggestions about what you and someone else should do. Let's is NOT a promise
You forgot to mention that nurse applications are down 96% since Brexit?
That's his fault as well?
However it should curb immigration and keep costs down?
Folk lying in wet and defecated beds are a price worth paying for this, to modify a quote from a Tory politician of the past!
When John Byrom plays on snow, he doesn't leave any footprints - Jimmy Armfield
All of that pales into insignificance when compared to Blair, Brown, Cameron and May's destruction of the middle east. And the selling or arms which kills thousands every year in wars to countries such as Saudi Arabia.
Which one of those in the list caused people to die. No mention on him voting against the Iraq war.
As for him voting against security orders etc. Do we still feel safe in the UK or has things got worse. After all it was not Corbyn who fired 20k police officers whilst in the home office.
Whilst impressive that list is it is nothing compared to what the Labour and Tory leaders have done to the middle east and are still doing.

Your sarcasm didn't come through, alas.
Why should I not believe you didn't vote Labour? You're entitled to vote for whichever party you want. It's called democracy, something Farron can't seem to understand.
As for Brexit. The country was asked if it wanted to Leave or Stay. The majority voted to Leave. There were no caviats printed on the voting papers so we should just leave. I'm sick and tired of being told by the EU that we'll have the deal they give us, etc.
It's a long road ahead, but one, I believe, will be the best for the whole of the UK, despite the section of Remainers who seem hell-bent on yearning to be ruled still by the infernal unelected EU despots.
Still, some people love to be dominated. Thankfully, the majority of the British people...don't.
Its just a question of who dominates the rich elites or the people. We are dominated regardless of who is in power its just a question is it the EU or UK establishments.
I would have voted independent I would have loved to see MR Fishfinger go to parliament and dress like he did for the queens speech.

You must be delighted then seeing a Tory coalition with a party supported by loyalist terrorists? Or do you not have a problem with the murder of innocent Catholics? Is it just 30 year old hand shakes with Gerry Adams that gets under your skin?
