A New Owner!!!
Re: A New Owner!!!
I don't suppose you are the one behind the camera. When were you up there. I am a regular visitor to the lakes and have walked over most of the mountains. There's also some great cycling routes around there. I am going up next week camping, but I can't take my bike cos I am going with my wife and child
Hoping to do some good rides soon though, went up to Rivington and over to Belmont last Friday, I hear you are a keen cyclist. What bike have you got?

Re: A New Owner!!!
I went up Rivington Pike/Anglezarke on my Carrera Vulcan last night and a stroll down to JJB this morning on it. I am planning an End to end cycle ride plus the 3 peaks all at once next summer. Go Lakes on train on days off when I can and have a ride round too.
Im in the middle on pic, very tiny but this is off topic lol.

Re: A New Owner!!!
I am just getting back into cycling after an absence of about 10 years. I've got a Ribble bike, it's a bit old but I've just had it refurbished at a place in Bury, it really looks the part again. It's just the rider that looks out of place now. I'm hoping to save up and get a new one in a year or two though. I've got a few pictures on my Myspace page, from the lakes. I usually go up there in Winter and do some camping on the mountains, it's great fun. Anyway, I'll not keep going on about it cos I'll probably get my wrists slapped for going off on a tangent in a thread.
Re: A New Owner!!!
Latest from the WEP. Two bids are thought to have been made for the club BUT Lenagan's is thought to be the more substantial.
Lenagan was born and brought up in the town and has been a Wigan fan all his life. He has made his money in computer software and is also head of the Sports Cafe chain which has most of its outlets in London.
Lenagan also has an interest in Oxford United FC and is a successful theatre entreoeneur with more than 30 productions to his name both on tour and in the West End.
It is believed he has no plabs to take Wigan RLFC away from the JJB.
Any deal that is struck would involve the new owner paying a rental fee to Whelan who will retain ownership of the JJB Stadium and its facilities. It is thought negotiations over these terms are already up and running.

remember when the u21s played bradfore on a thursday nite a few weeks ago he was at orrell that nite with andy clarke looking at one of the players

To be honest as long as he does not bring any of the Clarkes back to the fold then he seems fine. If Phil Clarke came back I would have to support the club from a distance.
Personally, my ideal person to come back to the club to manage it for a rich owner would be Graham Lowe.
