No matter what, it is no longer a home tie. So the integrity of the competition is damaged. We had qualified for the 6 a few weeks ago so why could Wigan Athletic not simply swap their home / away fixtures with Sunderland. Indeed, why was this not considered when the football fixtures were drawn up? The first week of the play off should have been prioritised as a Rugby League weekend, indeed, why not the first 2 weekends? It cannot be right that we schedule our early season fixtures around Wigan Athletic. Wigan Athletic ruin the pitch, we schedule our fixtures around that too and now the play-offs.

One wonders if IL has got anything concrete in his agreement because at the moment it seems like he was taken for a mug and Whelan is ... all over him.

The RFL should be pressurising the football league and IL should be standing firm.

Leave Sir Alex out of this its not his fault, anyway he always kicks the shi-ite out of them. Lets hope this season that Whelan gets his just deserts and gets relegated!!!!!!!

I also to a large extent blame this intransigent pile of rubbish
“We have explored fully with the RFL the options of playing on Thursday or Sunday but neither is possible for competition integrity issues and we prefer to play on a North West ground of our choice”.
So in essence, we are also being "stiffied" by the morons at the RFL - AGAIN!

The sooner Wigan Warriors are a separate "entity" from those bloody Latics, the better (separate ground and **** the JJB). It's not as if there will be more than 12,000 on for them anyway

Quite right! It was virtually "nailled on" that Wigan had secured a play-off position. Surely the possibility of a "home" tie had come into someones miniscule brain cell at the club?

Have sent another email to the club so they will get it first thing. I have made a comment on both of these topics relaying the grass and the rearranging of the CC game to a Monday to accommodate the Latics I think it is only fair that they reciprocate the favour.

Come on everyone, get in touch with the club to let them know our feelings.

And now we have a song to sing on Friday:

It really doesn't matter if it's raining or if it's
fine
just as long as you've got time
to p-l-a-y playaway-away-way playaway play-play-away
way play away playaway

Never mind the weather
Get it together
Suns shining
the rain can fall
come on
p-l-a-y playaway-away-way playaway play-play-away way
play away playaway

Running down the road
Strolling up the street
if you're feeling happy
tap your feet
come on
p-l-a-y playaway-away-way playaway play-play-away way
play away playaway

Sitting on your own and you're wondering what to do
go out and make a friend
then there'll be two
come on
p-l-a-y playaway-away-way playaway play-play-away way
play away playaway

one more time

la-la-la-la-la-la la-la la-la-la
come on
p-l-a-y playaway-away-way playaway play-play-away way
play away playaway

PLAYAWAY
