Such a shame, such a waste. Condolences to all his family and friends

Terry for me was one of the best Super League players never to win a grand final ring. He played his heart out and whilst he sometimes did stupid things; he always came across as a good person.

Rest in peace Terry; you'll be missed

I got home from work, turned on the laptop, went on 606 and saw the 1st article titled "Terry newton found dead" My hear sank, he was one of my favourites and i like many, was crushed when i found out he'd failed a drugs test, this is even worse. Rest in peace mate.
It's good to have an end to journey towards, but it's the journey that matters in the end.

They re even paying tribute to him on the Latics forum Wiganer.

Truly amazed that the rivalry between the two clubs means nothing to true sporting Wiganers when tragedy strikes a sportsman from our town & I would to thank them all for their kind words of condolence
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Saints are just wiganers who haven't fully evolved

Terrible news. My thoughts go out to his family and fiends. Terry was one of our own, a Wigan lad through and through. We need to do him justice both on and off the field on Satrurday.

RIP Terry.

Absolutely stunned by this news. I was only talking about him with my son as we queued for our Grand Final tickets. This was from about 3pm-5pm and I was completely oblivious to the news. I am guessing many others were also as I didn't hear it mentioned.

RIP TN, and condolences to his family and friends.
