Re: How do you beat Wire?

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

Dont know how long wire can sustain their performances, but youve got to hope they pick up a few injuries because apart from King they have been really lucky this year. I agree the No9 is the key, stop him and wire will struggle.

We know they can't sustain their performances, they've had one decent run this year and that's it. They'll probably lose next week knowing them. Win 3 max, lose 1 will not win a grand final. Winning certain games by 50 points means very little and they made Saints look far better than they did against us.

Gaz I think there is a reason why they run up massive scores and we don't

They play to score as many points as possible.

We play to win, end of!

Anything more and we are putting more in the shop window than we want to sell on the day. Cas was a mistake, we could have annihilated them but we just went out to win and it didn't quite work.

Against Stains, losing was NOT an option, So we didn't

Tomorrow I expect a comfortable win, nothing more.

Madge knows exactly what he is doing!

Well.. after last nights game I think the only real way you can beat them is not let them have the ball...which is easier said than done.Tony Smith has now got them playing in the same style he had Leeds, which is to monster the opposition and bully them into submission.
You have to fight fire with fire, but with the luck we have with referees, they will high tackle us, and then get a penalty because we didn't duck.!!! Make no mistake, if we play the way we did against Saints we will beat them, I have absolutely no doubts about that :eusa15: :eusa15:

I want Wire to keep winning big, get over confident, complacent and then PLAY WIGAN. I hope they get now wake up calls before we beat them.

If we maintain our momentum, marginally improving each game, we will see comfortable wins over Leeds, Cas, Quins and Wakey which should set us up for the QF.

On current form, we will beat them subject to the usual rhetoric that they were poor, underperformed, not on their game etc etc.

Frankly, I don't care. I want several pre-match pints in the Century. Its been too long!
