Didn't hear Terry O'Connor but why would he be privy to what goes on behind our closed doors? And I obviously interpreted SWs comments a bit more positively!

The latest within Wigan RLFC is they think Finchy signed a deal at roughly the same time as Jeff Lima

So why the secrecy on his part? Unlike Lima, he will have seen out his contract!

We haven't been used by any stretch of the imagination. Two of the three we signed saw their contracts out. And one's going home one year early due to homesickness after winning the Lance Todd trophy. If that's bad service, then I'm reasonably happy.

Not confirmed to even Wigan YET. I was told that is what key people at Wigan think.

RE; Terry O'Connor he may have spoken to his agent / player as a key rescruiter for Widnes. I do not know BTW.

A lot depends on his missus apparently. She doesn't like it over here and wants to go back home. If he can convince her, or dumps her, then he'll stay.

Personally I think she suck it up for a few more years, he will be a long time retired as they say and she'll still get to spend the rest of her life back in Oz when he retires.

My own opinion is - for what it's worth - he has a lot of options to consider.
If his attitude on the pitch is anything to go, by he is absolutely committed to the team and the players.

Nevertheless exactly the same "excuse" being proffered for Lima's move

Finchy has recently got an English girlfriend, he told that me personally last month & he seemed very happy about it.

He brought her to the SO'L testimonial the other week & they both seemed very content.
