With some of the comments and nastiness against others now on on social networks like Facebook and Twitter etc, perhaps we now need more than a PC Brigade?

Tolerance and respect, two things that are lacking in modern society.
Look at some of the comments/attitude flying around on here, a family site for Wigan fans.
For the future of modern society as we know it, I think we're doomed. When you consider punishments for violent crime, the deterrent has gone. Crimes of the tongue........?

Trouble is the whole thing is riddled with hypocrisy as i said before.
You cant mock fat people - but you can call skinny people ugly/horrible
You can ONLY be sexist if you are male
you can ONLY be racist if you are white
and so on
the media are simply disgusting in the way they report things, twisting the facts and presenting the "news" in a way that often instigates racial tension

I agree, they are making it an issue because, as always, they want to sell papers.
Sad, worry for the boy. Will have to advise him to keep stum and say nothing to anybody about anything.
Be just like it was under USSR rule, for example. The walls have ears, beware, be very aware.

By that, do you include corporal punishment in schools?
In my opinion, the ending of it has a lot to do with the lack of respect to teachers, other people and in many cases even themselves.
