Your Joking, SL is only getting stronger and better with every season, it's true, Eddie Hemmings says so
if Eddie sez it then its dogshit lol
I cringe everytime he say's such a thing as it obviously isn't, he needs to look back around 15 year, the qaulity of players that where knocking about, as stated above where fantastic, yes there was some crap ones, but overal we had some great players at several clubs, Vainikolo, Vagana, Hoppe, Albert, Ngamu, Barnett, Langer, Gee, Timu to name but a few

I'm not convinced Bridge is the answer, would rather have Atkins than Bridge, but neither would be on my main radar.
If true, I hope this is just a stop gap until Oliver Gildart gets up to speed.

What's people's thoughts of the young Wigan centre's coming up from within the youth structure

When i started this thread, if someone had suggested mr Bridge i would have laughed.

I am sure the Wigan happy clappers will take the PR bait and hail him as the second coming.

However, i have to ask where is the vision and ambition?

I'm not happy if this signing goes ahead!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

you mean Ian (karl pryce) thornely?

ive said on the rumour mill thread id be happy if we signed bridge while i think he is a rat of a player he does get under players skins and he can kick goals something we seem incapable of finding;

just had a quick check on the stats from last year if you look at our 2 first choice centres Sarge and Gelling (bearing in mind i havent counted how many games they played because i just did this quick)

but bridge scored more tries, assisted more tries, missed fewer tackles and made less errors than both of them in every category. The only place they got bridge back was meters made which is a huge different if im honest but im assuming that may be because wire actually use their forwards to make meters instead of their backs!!

Stats arent everything and yes 10 years ago bridge would probably be lower end superleauge or championship, but jamie lyon aint around any more nor are many good centres
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

I can see what you mean WF with the comparison, just think a younger, fit Thornley offers hell of a lot more. A really believe he's a classy player, a winger's centre ?

Just needs a run of games to get match fit and prove himself. Not time to get rid just yet, imo.
