I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the goal kicking comp at half time wasn't rigged, which clearly was!!
For the record I don't think the Americans have ever put a man on the Moon!!
That was a farce the kicking comp.
IL needs to get it into his head that youths is not always the answer and we need to recruit ready made talent and not just projects to work on.

The problem is that often it is older players who blow it not young ones for Wigan. Matty Smith is 28.

I rest my case!!
WE lost it. The RFL didn't knock on at a kick off or go for 2 when in the lead and a chance of 6 spurned.
We lost by 2 points, the RFL awarded a try that was worth 4 points that should never have been awarded!!
We knocked on under our own sticks immediately before we scored our first try, having said that never in a month of Sunday's should Leeds try have counted.

Simply not good enough for Wigan, no pace, no skill, no vision, no kicking game, unable to tackle! Other than that I have no complaints. Waney has had ample opportunity to run with another player in that position as Matty's performances have, on the whole, been sub-standard this year. We had plenty of opportunity to win that game last night, the platform was created but the engine driver didn't turn up for work. For the record a Gregory, Edwards, Lam, Barratt or even a Green would have ensured that we were victorious.
Change is required because, to quote the great Wayne Bennett “If you do what you always did, you’ll get what you always got.” I'm tired of being second.

Clearly I am out of step with everyone else!!! As well as the ludicrous no knock on decision, there were 2 other dubious decisions in the same passage of play. Hemmings in live commentary says Leeds man knocks on when chsllenging for ball on right wing which Thaler calls 6 more and then gives a doubtful penalty against George for another six. Wouldnt it have been easier for Thaler to pick up ball and score the try??? Other issues --- I note that when Manfredi drops the ball forward and it comes off his leg the decision is knock on (Consistency?). I also recall that only the captain can talk to ref in RL but when ref says drop out and Hall screams penalty Thaler says OK its a pen (That set leading to Leeds 3rd try). Later Patrick (I think) goes over under 3 tacklers, the ref says knock on, our captain asks ref to refer and ref runs away!!!! Finally ( I could list many more appaling decisions) for the final try yes Hall jumps well and passes back but look at the pass inside then I think from Moon (forward or level or what???). I can assure you that the man who made by a mile the most mistakes on Saturday was Thaler. In 55 years of following RL his was the worst refereeing performance I have ever seen. If you want more look at defence lines at scrums!!!!!

We played poorly. Leeds played poorly albeit better than ourselves. Both teams with ball in hand were poor but very good in defence. Thaler made less mistakes than either Wigan OR Leeds and the knock on was Childs call as TJ and the video referee.

You seem to be missing the point, it was a knock on and should have been called straight away by Thaler, the fact the TJ said try was laughable, then to go to the VR and again they confirm the try is nothing short of ludicrous. It was as simple a knock on that you can get and the try should never have been awarded, it wasn't even a close decision. They had 3 chances to get the decision right and they didn't, why?

I am not gonna waste my time listing his errors -- I have a life. He gives us a penalty when leeds stop acting half back passing then doesnt for same offence 10 mins later. He calls handover late on after Manfredi legally passes ball to Tomkins when clearly he has not called held and nor has ball carrying arm touched floor. Both teams off side all night, hardlya penalty given, head high tackles all night hardly any given. He quite simply had a mare.

Not missing the point whatsoever. A professional referee acting as a TJ called it no try as did former players turned commentator and their anchor man. A former referees controller saw it over wise after deliberating. I saw it as no try after several views. It was one error and we had the try to make it not matter.
Who made more mistakes? Wigan or Thaler?

He tried to let the game flow for both teams. For somebody who had a mare you are obviously struggling to provide any evidence.
Who had the bigger mare; the referee or Wigan RLFC?
