Without lookig at what he said EXACTLY he will just claim at the point he made the statement no deal had been agreed, signed etc etc

Now which player when leaving Wigan said something similar, although we all knew he was going in May.

I don't blame Smithy, a four year deal is unreal at this stage in his career. He may fit into Saints systems better as his style is similar to Walsh. I am convinced our attack will be better without him. As for KFC's comment, I think that we can take it with a pinch of salt.

In many ways Matty is a great copy of Walsh in terms of replacing him at Saints.

I think it's a good move for all concerned.

Saints want him so they are happy.

Matty gets a long term last contract

We move on a senior, well paid player, who is only going to deteriorate physically

i would be sad to see smith go, he cops alot of unfair flak,
i believe we will miss his presence if he goes, he does alot of the leading on the pitch even when lockers is on. i hope im wrong in that though as it would make us weaker.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.
