I don't know what Millward whispered into Denis Moran's ear half way through the second half but it worked - he went out there like a man on fire - wonder what it was??????

Not at the willows i don't....I paid my money hoping to see a good game between what I thought (Salford home adv concidered) were 2 evenly matched sides.
I wasn't far wrong, the difference was the pace of Dallas and the boot of Tickle.

Its so obvious to me the problem with both Salford and Wigan are the forwards with the exception of Andy Coley are NOT strong/good enough.
Both Wigan and salford have fantastic backs Alker, Littler, Robinson; Dallas, Carney, Moran, Rads...but theres no chance that you'll see the already proven tallent behind very light packs.

Everybodies getting on the back of Moran and he doesn't deserve it playing behind a poor pack that has no go forward and offers him no protection to be able set up plays.
The problem this year lies directly on the shoulders of the person responsible for signings.

The only reason they are 2 evenly matched sides is that the confidence is shattered at the JJB at the moment. We looked a heck of a lot better this week than we have been since Easter. We look like scoring tries from our own play and not from errors from other sides. Top 6 i think is certain now and maybe 5th. Were better than the likes of the Wolves, and Giants. 2 games if IM would have been there wed have won.

Were looking better today than yesterday and that is a good move forward. As DW said were not excpected to be up there for another year. Yet were better than the 2 teams above i mentioned and weve just started on the road back. Were does that leave them.

I know that was rhetorical but I want to answer!

GOING DOWN!! hehe. I'm really up for London now; they battered Leigh but that doesnt tell us much. Will be a class game, and if we show signs of anymore improvement, which I think we will, I would say a 4 try victory margin sounds about right! :D

I still think we'll win though, but not by as much as that.

Fair enough Geoff; but still up for the win!

Cos im sad i was looking at all the remaining results, and doing a little math, think we will come 5th; but us, Hull, and Warrington to finish within 2pts of each other - so poss 4th, poss 6th. But I'm convinced we'll make the top 6. We'll finish on 33pts!! Leeds will win the thing tho im afraid!

See what a mean about confidence. Even we now will go to games excpecting to beat side like the Wolves, Giants and Broncos. And not hope we will.

Confidence has been shot to pieces at the club now its on the up. Well be 2 points behin the Wolves on Monday am and they come to the JJB soon. Well pass them and try to get at the Bulls. Weve been awful this season and we still can catch and them.

We have had the worse few monts at Wigan for a long time. Now we can look forward to the next game. Weve been **** and were 6th.

It might be a case of our excpectations but then again with the support we have we should be in the top 3. Its time the board did the same.

So you dont think any ref is biased? It doesnt really matter who the ref is though, as they all seem to be as abismal as each other! You can see the stuart cummings in them all.

Got to agree with PnB.
Moran and Brown very average if not erratic.
Aspinwall non-existant
Wild isn't a centre.
Sculthorpe is a liability.
Newton quiet.
Rads and Carney making basic errors.
Hargreaves does't defend in his channel he's all over the place
Several players went O.K.Tickle(needs to cut out pens),Dallas finished well and Godwin looked quite promising
Were you watching the same game as me? Moran average he was brilliant had a hand in every try i think. Sculthorpe looked very lively and made yards and he also played most of the game.
