From the Wigan Warriors page on Facebook

The players are wearing black armbands tonight in memory of Ava-Marie, the daughter of our good friends Neil & Louise Flavell and sister to Luke, who sadly passed away this week. You’re all in our thoughts guys
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I think its good for the sport. The only way you get better in anything is to test yourself against better sides. The Aussies are better but superleague can improve by consistently arranging these kind of matches and training with the Aussies and learning how they train. I also believe that the game should be promoted in France more and we could have more test matches with them.I constantly read posts on how shit superleague is and how shit the players are but theres a lot of good people in the game that have good ideas on taking the game forward. Ian Lenagen is a very successful business man as is Pearson at Hull and i'm pretty sure they are committed to making our sport the best it can be. Union in my opinion is boring and the vast majority of fans only go to the internationals. But to the games credit it is promoted really well. Now that Wood has gone it might be a chance to throw fresh ideas at what is a far superior sport to Union. I get frustrated with the promotion of the game i love and the crappy refereeing because the Aussies are better at that too !!! and the commentating !!! but reading some of the negative posts on here i think you should go watch another sport.
