No, either 1 train stop away from Twickenham train station (signposted) or cross the dual carriageway and get a bus ride to Richmond, only takes 5 minutes. It's a 40 minute walk also if you're feeling hard

walk!!! 40 minutes - thats 40 minutes drinking time wasted - may have to go via train after t'match
