Of course they could get it ready if they wanted to.

whelan wouldn't be afraid to tell his groundsman in no uncertain terms that he had to - (and if the groundsman wanted to keep his job - he'd get it sorted).

If thats what whelan wanted.

Considering the amount of rain we have had Whelan obviously doesn't want to take any chances with the pitch because he's embarressed at the stick he got last year.

That is the only reason why the game isn't going ahead at the JJB.
