the CC now is our ONLY chance of success.
we have left ourselves too much to do to get anywere in the play-offs.
going in from 4th or below leaves us stuffed.
I'm tired of saying it. i've even give up bothering of late but
Get him gone!

In the words of the wise sage Paul Calf - "Bag of shite".
Ignore my past post about being ambivalent over changing coach. Tonight has made up my mind and it's clear it's time for a change. A depleted Wigan side, with 50% academy should hammer Celtic, so f*** knows what that shower did today.

If Noble has any pride, HE MUST GO NOW for the good name of Wigan Rugby League Club. Put Sean Wane in charge at least he has the respect of the players.

Match report here:

Even the normally positive Phil Wilkinson has some pretty harsh words.
...it was no fluke - the Warriors were out-muscled and out-played for most of the game by a fired-up Welsh outfit.
Wigan were trailing 12-6 at half-time and though they managed to draw the scores level in the late stages, in truth, their error-littered and tired performance never deserved two points.

we are becoming the laughing stock of the league, no one will want to come here , and stains and wire will be pee in them selves at us.
As the commentator said can roberts go length of field i said yeah and i can run to wigan in 6 seconds flat.
Something has be done before we lose total face altogether.
Come on NOBLE AND lenegen sort it now.

The result against Sheffield was unexpected.
Hand on heart, I can't honestly say this is a major shock as we have been stumbling along from week to week for some time now.

One thing that gets to me Rich, is that Celtic were the depleted side tonight with a suposed host of top players missing.
Some of our reserves should be given a chance on the strength of this with Shaun Wayne taking the lead.

Born in Wigan, within earshot of Central Park. Seen some fine teams over the years and a few not so fine ones. Same applies to coaches but the underachieving, uninspiring Nobby is too much for me this season. We have quite a few good players but we fall farther and farther behind the Saints machine every year.
I really thought Lenagan would begin to make us a force again but we're going nowhere at all and both mature and young players are being wasted. Nobby has had more than enough time but has totally failed to build a consistent team or bring the best out of any of the players. Shake his hand, wish him all the best and ask him to leave - now!
For the rest of this season, I'm going to do something I've never done before. I'll keep an eye on Wigan but go and watch some lesser teams, especially Barrow. They might be minnows but they're more motivated, better coached and, for a team with few fans and little cash, they're bloody marvellous. Maybe next year I'll watch St Pats! I'll start paying money to watch Wigan again when I have even the tiniest bit of belief that I am watching a team going somewhere.
