thought Sam was MOM very rarely if in fact ever does the sponsors MOM match the coaches

Phelps played well in the 2nd 1/2 but did make some basic errors in positional play and defense ( but this is just nip picking on my part)

i just wanted extra points for the league but then again lots of posters had Sam down for it

OAM the sponsors and coach MOM will never match. It is deliberate. Partly from a practical view as the sponsors MOM spends time with them post match and the coaches MOM does the same in the South Stand generally.

I think Mrs B got it right not that it was not warranted but Phelps only had to have a decent game to get the coaches MOM because his father had flown over to watch him.

Most MOM awards are a bit silly. Indeed MOS went the same way.
