Look at some of the comments/attitude flying around on here, a family site for Wigan fans.
For the future of modern society as we know it, I think we're doomed. When you consider punishments for violent crime, the deterrent has gone. Crimes of the tongue........?
In my opinion, the ending of it has a lot to do with the lack of respect to teachers, other people and in many cases even themselves.

I think we all know what the problem is and we all have similar ideas of how to resolve these issues.
We live in a crazy world though, the rights of offenders are too precious, sadly.

You can't be racist to the English, no matter who you are, because being English isn't a race. You can be xenophobic, but that's a different thing.sc74 wrote:Don't forget you can't be racist to the English, though.

you could also blame women leaving the home for the workplace, we no longer have the traditional family with it's traditional family values, kids today have no respect.Whelley Warrior wrote:By that, do you include corporal punishment in schools?sc74 wrote:Tolerance and respect, two things that are lacking in modern society.

So that narrows it down a bit, you can't be racist to many people then.weststand-rich wrote:You can't be racist to the English, no matter who you are, because being English isn't a race. Items that are covered in the Race Relations Act 1976 include discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic and national origin.
If it is good enough for the law makers of the United Kingdom, then it will do for me.

Anyway my prediction is the downfall of social media sites over the next few years.
I believe that large court cases against the conduits of such 'comments/view/opinions' is not too far away.

The only women at home now are the lazy single mothers who prefer to have kids just to get a house, live on benefits and free NHS treatment but have no control over their kids and in some cases, don't want too!medlocke wrote:you could also blame women leaving the home for the workplace, we no longer have the traditional family with it's traditional family values, kids today have no respect.Whelley Warrior wrote:By that, do you include corporal punishment in schools?sc74 wrote:Tolerance and respect, two things that are lacking in modern society.

Plus the sex & violence portrayed on tv, film & worse of all video games. Another plus for me is the lack of censorship! Children aren't children anymore they're are treated as grown ups far too soon & so they think they are equal to adults IMO

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
