Re: Leeds it is!!!
By my count I have highlighted some 8 or 9 examples of his mistakes. You have tried to defend his most blatant and obvious error (in my opinion). If you would care to explain the other examples I have quouted then you can explain why you think he made less mistakes than the players. I shall wait with interest. By the way to compare the mistakes of one man against the mistakes of 17 (or is it 34) is remarkably stupid my friend. Grow up.

So it was just a mistake? That 3 qualified referees all thought it was a try and no knock on? Some would say you are being very lenient calling it a mistake!! It was disgraceful that it wasn't just called a knock on straight away when McGuire clearly dropped it forward!!cpwigan wrote:Not missing the point whatsoever. A professional referee acting as a TJ called it no try as did former players turned commentator and their anchor man. A former referees controller saw it over wise after deliberating. I saw it as no try after several views. It was one error and we had the try to make it not matter.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:You seem to be missing the point, it was a knock on and should have been called straight away by Thaler, the fact the TJ said try was laughable, then to go to the VR and again they confirm the try is nothing short of ludicrous. It was as simple a knock on that you can get and the try should never have been awarded, it wasn't even a close decision. They had 3 chances to get the decision right and they didn't, why?cpwigan wrote:We played poorly. Leeds played poorly albeit better than ourselves. Both teams with ball in hand were poor but very good in defence. Thaler made less mistakes than either Wigan OR Leeds and the knock on was Childs call as TJ and the video referee.
Who made more mistakes? Wigan or Thaler?

It wasn't clear cut. IMO it was a knock on and Cummings thought it was but others did not. Nevertheless, that error did not equate to losing the game. We lost the game because we failed to 'turn up'.TrueBlueWarrior wrote:So it was just a mistake? That 3 qualified referees all thought it was a try and no knock on? Again cp, that is not the point!! The bottom line is it shouldn't have been awarded but it was, I will say it again, the other way round it would have been a knock on all day long!! Why have we had 2 finals on the bounce where decisions have gone against us?

Are you saying we lost because of one error by an official(s)? You do realise some people thought it was a try (I didn't but some did)TrueBlueWarrior wrote:Again cp, that is not the point!! Re: Leeds it is!!!
Personally I thought it could have been called either way. It was very close to begin sideways. If the ref had sent it up as no try I think it would have stayed that way. The interesting thing is did the onfield team think it had been stolen or knocked out by Wigan and therefore it was play on. If they did then they needed to ask that question specifically - "was this stolen? if it was then try, if not then knock-on". Maybe they did think this, maybe they didn't? Just one of those close call that went against us IMO.

It was a great tackle, there was no contact with the ball from our player at all, Maguire lost control forward in my opinion.Mike wrote:Personally I thought it could have been called either way. Whoa TB, you have gone from 110% knock on to wavering in response to a post. Make your mind up
