The freakish injury toll will be the convenient excuse. Some, not all are actually a result of poor tactics IMO.

Is john Bateman being used correctly, he's an off the cuff player being used as a grafter aka typical prop forward coaching mentality.cpwigan wrote:Sam T will be interesting. IMO he is a better all round player than when he left but I hope he can find his zip and off the cuff attack (Williams is the only one offering that presently).
All round Sam had a decent game but he is paid sily money to win games and for that you expect the young fullback that destroyed Wire with a chip and chase from his own 20, the scoots breaking from dummy half. I just hope he can find his zip and magic for 2017.
Injuries are part and parcel of the game. We had two players suspended for this game and had far more over the course of the season (not forgetting the off field suspension). Seriously the discipline at the club is poor and who is to blame for that?cpwigan wrote:Th freakish injury toll will be the convenient excuse. Some, not all are actually a result of poor tactics IMO.
The focus of criticism for Wane and his tactics is the attack because it's glaringly obviously poor but it's taking the attention of issues like this.Panchitta Marra wrote:Is john Bateman being used correctly, he's an off the cuff player being used as a grafter aka typical prop forward coaching mentality.cpwigan wrote:Sam T will be interesting. Probably not but are any forwards used properly PM. We have forgotten about playing in and around the POTB; going straigh, fast, quick POTB. If you are smaller than the opp you should want a fast frenetic pace working the big forwards over time in defence.Panchitta Marra wrote:Is john Bateman being used correctly, he's an off the cuff player being used as a grafter aka typical prop forward coaching mentality.cpwigan wrote:Sam T will be interesting. Yes we can blame Smith, like it or not he is our chief playmaker. There are more moves in a dead horse, can anyone please tell me what he brings to the team? What are is attributes?up the junction wrote:Three tries in two games????? Utter garbage . Sarge needs to go now ,Gildart not yet ready ,and Powell for all his tackling brings nothing to our attack, every other 9 in the league runs and makes yards from dummy but ours.We cant blame Smith all season for a failing team with no clue in attack .Danny Houghton looked like a world beater .
SP is a better 7 than Smith. The booze hound wrote:When Powell began filling in for MM this season he did offer something attacking wise. However, he seems to be concentrating on the defensive side much more now, ala MM. Is this down to coaching?up the junction wrote:Three tries in two games????? Utter garbage . GW would be better at 7 with Sam at 6 and Smith at Dewsburyshaunedwardsfanclub wrote:SP is a better 7 than Smith. The booze hound wrote:When Powell began filling in for MM this season he did offer something attacking wise.
