You will always see hard crunching tackles in RL, Olli was unfortunate and Ferres reckless but that tackle could happen 10 more times and no one would be injured. Injuries happen and it's unfortunate that Olli just made that step up in quality
That tackle could happen 10 more times and if it was performed the same way as Ferres did in every instance the player would be injured!
Ferres could and should have taken olli to ground, he didn't he picked him back up and slammed him down knowing exactly where ollies head and neck where.
Out of interest can anyone post a short video of the incident?

Hello Kendo Nagasaki, how is trying to hurt somebody cheating?
so lifting him up off the floor and then sprawling your weight down on top of his head putting pressure on his spine is not an illegal thing to do ? you're an idiot

I don't like Ferres. I think he was a desperation signing and I think he's come back overweight. However he still needs defending. There was absolutely no intent to injure. It's not like he punched someone who was lying on the ground. That guy should've been sacked. Or will Ferres have served his punishment in 6 games time?
Don't be a tool! Ferres got sinbinned, received a six game ban but did nothing, how did you square that circle?
I've never stated he did nothing. I was responding to the 'just pure intent' comment. One incident is the result of one man being stronger than the other in a tackle. The other is an atrocious example to be setting to children.
That tackle could have been complete when ferres had Gildart in his first grip and hold, but that wasn't enough for Ferres and that's why he lifted Ollie up again and forcefully pushed down AGAIN in his crusher tackle.
Intent to injure, no doubt about it.
You won't persuade me otherwise, it was intended.

Illegal yes but how in the hell is it cheating Jake The Snake Roberts?
Let's is a contraction of “let us.” You use it to make suggestions about what you and someone else should do. Let's is NOT a promise
Firstly IMO Phil Clarke is the most biased commentator there's ever been. Secondly the subject of intent needs dropping. Unless Ferres takes a lie detector nobody can prove intent, so everyone is entitled to there opinion and nobody can say 100% that they are wrong. I'd be willing to bet that Gildart doesn't doesn't think Ferres tried to injure him.

How can you make a claim that someone is biased when you berated someone on here yesterday for making out Ferres is a thug. Just as that individual your making an allegation based on your belief.
So how come your now entitled to your opinion but no one should be of the opinion that Ferres could be a thug.

And how was Phil Clarkes career ended? A broken neck injury. Not caused by a crusher tackle, but He knows a damn sight more about the potential problems it can cause than you do smarty pants. He has also been involved in the benevolent fund to help players who have had spinal injuries. Shut up,go away!
I think it was deliberate. If you watch ferres, it looks like he's pulling gildart up to stop the crusher tackle but what he does he pulls him up to go down even harder on to him.
Well that what it looks like to me.
