What a win!
Who's your Man of the Match?
It was a tough game. Thought Hankinson did really well, Powell obviously but overall, think it should be a team man of the match. They pounded us first half and just heard we didn't miss a single tackle.
Don't know if this is factual but it was a fabulous effort.

Must admit with the conditions this is not a result I expected. I thought they would suit Cas more than us as I thought it would inevitably be a defence oriented game and our defence has as well all know had a propensity to leak tries.
Lam said earlier in the week he thought the defence needed to “aim up” so I expect he’s pretty pleased with it.
Two more points in the bag. Id put a thumbs up emoticon here now but I’m an taptalk and I can’t find any!

I’d agree, hard to single anyone out as they all finally remembered how to defend

After that pass to Williams he just looked like he couldn't be arsed, He could have easily of scored a try himself

After some of the shambolic defending at Salford this was a massive improvement.
The two points are very important for us right now.

I thought zak and marshy were solid in the backs. ........shorroks tried hard and had his best game yet........ powell came on and tackled, scored and put in the best infield kick ov the night...... in the forwards i thought TT and bullock made good metres...... lockers and budgie had a night too forget....... really glad ov the win coz the beat team lost........ just a quick question? Does lockers not get on with d powell coz he didn’t even look at him after his interview

Summer rugby!
I thought defensively we were much better today and up to a standard where we should have been two months ago! Just keep it up Wigan
Offensively though, and I know the conditions were tricky, we are still lacking any ideas IMO. Shorrocks again anonymous but what can we do?
Powell gave away a penalty leading to their first points and I thought “here we go” but he redeemed himself today.
Just grind out the Wins Wigan

Adrian Lam:
Had Lockers and Powell not been there you don't know what may have happened. I think we got our subs right and we coached it better.
