George was homesick from day one, he is a home bird.
Should never have gone then. I have long thought players need to examine why they really want to go to Oz more carefully than they seem to do.
I'm not sure you know you're going to be homesick until it happens TBH. (I know you're going to tell me that everyone 100% does know this and there's no chance that they dont...)
I said it was also most guaranteed not absolutely but having worked for periods in foreign countries myself I always found it far better to be going because I wanted to experience the country than on the couple of occasions it was like “we need you over there for six months off you go” when it was just a job.

In my opinion if you are going just for the money and have zero interest in experiencing the place then if not homesick you will be bored witless when all your out of work activities and outlets you take for granted back home are no longer available.

Steve Price on George Williams interest while confirming Greg Inglis injury blow

The Warrington boss has confirmed a lengthy spell on the sidelines for GI

Steve Price insists Warrington Wolves have not contemplated a mid-season move to try and bring George Williams to the club, before revealing that Greg Inglis is set to be sidelined for at least two months due to a hamstring injury.

Williams' shock release from Canberra with immediate effect on Tuesday has sparked a flurry of interest in the 26-year-old, as he appears destined to return to the UK in the coming weeks. The Wolves and Wigan were already both keen on signing the half-back next season, but his imminent return to Super League could see both those clubs make an earlier-than-expected play to sign the England international.

However, Price said that while he is an admirer of Williams, there has been no talk of a move to try and bring him to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in the short-term.

He said: "I haven't even contemplated that. I'm really happy with the players I've got in my squad.

But he's a great player, George, and he's had a fantastic couple of years at Canberra and I don't know the circumstances behind him leaving. But he's a quality player."

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

If nothing ridiculous happens last minute, it should be a very pleasant start to the weekend.

That's the plan as far as I'm aware pal, tie Williams down and then move on to targets in other areas
