These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Stuart must have choked when he was told that George would be getting a payout too.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Its paper talk as the Aussie Journos are trying to be as bad as ours.
George is rumoured to have had a holiday on the Gold Coast, waiting for the Canberra decision.
Looks like the Canberra severence deal blocks GW from signing for another NRL club?
Re: Williams as it stands.
George denied that he was on the Gold Coast and said he was still in Canberra, presumably coming to the decision they made this morning. I have also heard that the deal blocks him from signing with another NRL club.widdenoldboy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 6:22 pmIts paper talk as the Aussie Journos are trying to be as bad as ours.

Re: Williams as it stands.
But he can indirectly sign for another NRL club?
Isn't all this smoke and mirrors?
Wasn't his release request due to homesickness and his partner being pregnant?
Seems as though the Aussie journos are tying themselves up in their own conspiracy theories.
From all that's reportedly gone on then surely George will be back in the UK in the not too distant future.

Re: Williams as it stands.
Just read an NRL thing where it says he can only sign for a SL club, The NRL is verboten
Re: Williams as it stands.
He'll be back in England fairly soon. I'm told that under the terms of his release, he can't sign for a NRL club for the next 2 years.Wiganer Ted wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 7:44 pm But he can indirectly sign for another NRL club?
