Be very suprised if casdont get 3 bans for the hits on leeming miski and eckersley.I do however think walters will get one also.He was silly but it shows how our players back each other which is pleasing in that respect. The tackle on eckersley is a 5-6 game ban every day of the week

Need to draw a veil over that one and remember its less than a week since the final...

Some odd decisions tonight, a few high contacts were let go, unless it was a Wigan tackler...

Lets see if any bans are dished out.

Commited performance by Cas but I feel they were allowed to lay on and be offside a fair bit?

The whole team looked slow and plays disjointed but a win is a win.

Not happy with some of the head high tackles that Thaler allowed to go. The tackle on Leeming was awful and a bin was nonsense. Eckersley looked out of it after the head tackle on him. Just a pen.

Interesting what the RFL disciplinary make of all that.

Thank goodness for the win.
Be interesting to see if the "real"wire have returned they looked shocking tonight

Having seen how drunk the lads were on Sunday (and I believe the celebrations carried on into Monday!) I actually thought Cas would go on to win that. Happy that we managed to scrape a win. I said before the game that it was going to be a loss or an ugly win and so it proved.

Really is one of those "tick off the win and move on" games. I'm not sure there's too much to be learned from a game like that just as there wasn't from the Wire game the week before Wembley.

Hopefully a win next week and we go into the international weekend in good shape.

Not seen the game as I was at Delamere Forest watching Sting (bloody brilliant) but it sounds like the kind of performance you get after a Wembley win, so very pleased with the two points. Onwards to the next game and a win while we have Dupree and AK banned so all good.

Its quite obvious that french to fullback does upset the rythm of the team please try someone else there

Is this a message in the hope that Matty Peet frequents this forum or are you thinking that members here pick the team?

I’d say it was an opinion on a public forum no?

I went to the match. Plenty of people in the away end wondering why we were made to play on the Friday after the cup final. Both teams involved in that final had hang overs.

I thought Rocky did OK without tearing up trees, he looked much happier not being full back.
Its also remarkable how much the pack missed Junior, given he's only just established himself in the side.
He's already a huge hole to fill when he's not in there.

Wheldon Road is often a bogey ground for us and Cas gave it a good shot.
Ultimately we got the two points playing badly, the sign of a champion side.
