SW is reported to have said that Finch's replacement is already at the club!
I know Waney has done a great job, but I desperately hope this isn't true.
We need a State of Origin standard player in the halves to partner any new youngster we get, Matty Smith or otherwise

Don't worry Mr Negative, I am sure you will eventually get you day in the sun when you can come on here and say “I TOLD YOU SO!”!
When Noble was here and I was one of the first to point out he was basically rubbish I got the same sort of stupid posts as yours above. When Madge arrived and worked his magic you must have missed all the posititive comments I made about how much better the team was being run etc.
Suggesting the club screwed up by getting us into the position where both half backs are leaving at the same is a mistake is not being negative, it is common sense!
So Tommy has decided to try his hand back home and Brett has decided to go back to the NRL at the end of his contract. How is this the club's fault?
Because despite knowing Tommy was leaving before this season started it prevaricated over a deal with Finch and so we lost the player. IMO had the club offered him a deal in March or before that he would have signed whereas by leaving it later it had to compete for his signature - and lost.

Quite frankly, the more i hear about what the club has offered Brett and a lot of the rumours then i think he had a set plan from the very beginning and nothing would have changed his mind and for that i admire Brett very much.
So you are suggesting Brett turned down a very lucrative offer to stay at Wigan in favour of a move back home? If this is the case it might make people think twice over their opinions, suppose we will never know!!

Totally agree. But there will always be people looking to take cheap shots at the club regardless of what happens and in spite of any success we achieve.
If you are determined to seek out negatives, you will always find them!
We are top of the league and playing the best rugby since our glory years of the late 80's early 90's and still some spoil their own experience by moaning for England! If their moaning had any influence/effect I would willingly join them, but it won't, so it's seize the day for me!!

I could understand the criticism if there was any evidnce to support it but there isn't the slightest shred supporting what has been said.
The people making this stuff up have no idea when negotiations started and what was offered.

Hurrah and huzzah for an intelligent comment.

We will never know, Brett has made his decision.
Good luck, I wish him all the best in the future.
He's playing out of his skin. Let's concentrate on this season.
Time to move on!

With all the doom and gloom around, I think its worth remembering a few salient points.
Madge arrived in 2010 and turned Noble's team of 'nearly men' (plus an ageing half back) into a formidable force that finished top of the league, won the GF and swept the board at the awards.
The 3 Aussies only arrived last year due to the misfortune of a club half a world away. OK, we won the CC but IMO, last years team wasn't as good as the one before.
This year, I think we are as good if not better than 2010.
We are losing 2 quality half backs but we will still have 2 next year. I have every confidence in SW and IFL and have no doubts we will still be the team to beat next year!

Well said KW
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
