Sam wants to go to the NRL,can you see any benefit in holding him to his contract and then he leaves for free. It's the way of the world, just face up and support a great side.
Unlikely Wes. He was registered long before IL appeared. And FWIW, I agree with him!Wes wrote:Evening Mr Lenegan.jao711 wrote:Why are so many people so concerned with the actual date that Sam signed for NZW?What difference does it make? Why all the sanctimonious preaching on this board, and criticism of Ian Lenagan? What makes these people think they should have access to the club's transfer and financial dealings.?IL has done a great job of reorganising the club and it's playing and coaching staff (remember madge?)The club is now in a very healthy position better than for many years, silverware in the cupboard, and and the best youth system in the game.I am as sick as the rest about Sam's departure but it's been great while it lasted.Count your blessings.Just one more point. You ask a lot of questions that have already been answered. You can find them in the many threads that have discussed the matter.jao711 wrote:Why are so many people so concerned with the actual date that Sam signed for NZW?What difference does it make? Why all the sanctimonious preaching on this board, and criticism of Ian Lenagan? What makes these people think they should have access to the club's transfer and financial dealings.?IL has done a great job of reorganising the club and it's playing and coaching staff (remember madge?)The club is now in a very healthy position better than for many years, silverware in the cupboard, and and the best youth system in the game.I am as sick as the rest about Sam's departure but it's been great while it lasted.Count your blessings.Just one more point. Sorry Wes but I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Unless you've deleted something that I missed?Wes wrote:I apologise for my earlier post, it was a joke that seems to have hit a nerve as I have received a moderator warning which was not my intention. Sorry to all concerned, Stuey I hope you don't mind me calling you that as its much easier than Kitwazzer to type.
So it's IL's fault then. Why would he give a player permission to speak to other clubs when he went out of his way to get the player to sign a contract forbidding him to do so?TrueBlueWarrior wrote:DaveO, if IL gave Sam permission to leave and speak to other clubs then even though Sam was still contracted to us he never broke any clauses regarding his contract.
