Not all, only the greedy sods today as illustrated by those on a cushy number who on reaching retirement carry on working and preventing younger people from having a job.
Greed today comes before job satisfaction for many!
p.s. and you have to make sarcastic comments about wearing cherry & white tinted goggles to anyone who does not agreed with how you and your fellow cronies on here think?
The thread is about Deacon so Keeping on topic !!
Deacon in your eyes is being greedy and keeping a much younger person out of a job ?
He is a well respected coach at Wigan and has had a very successful trophy laden playing career and probably not earned a great deal out of the game.
If an employer comes along and offers him a challenge with a handsome salary in sport then he is entitled to look after himself and do what is right by himself and his family.
Your post is nothing but you feeling hard done to and picked upon and blatant jealousy of someone who has ambition and to earn a few quid at the same time
Very general that WW !
The world's a much changed economy in the last generation or so, and a lot of people have to continue working past retirement, just to make ends meet, what with company pensions being obliterated and the value of their pension funds severely diminished.
And in a rugby context, and any other sport in general you care to name, players have always been tempted by contracts and agents offering better terms elsewhere (look at Sam). It's just the way things are.

So according to you, it's not about players and coaches moving to Union for money, but to be more successful!
Since when has any Union club, especially Sale ever been more successful than Wigan?
For once take off the cherry & white rose tinted goggles. SCs meaning of Being successful in your career is the size of your pay packet.
That is what we all go to work for, Simples !

Never had a green eyed monster Whelley are they high maintenance?
Good luck to the lad I say, he could have been on 20K a year and doubled it to 40, turning a wage into a good wage, what's wrong with that?
You're a long time looking at the coffin lid!!

Sale Sharks and Deacon training in Haigh Hall, Saturday morning! Mustn't be any hilly, wooded areas in Sale, and, they all turned up in their own cars as well. He's soon put his influence to the squad. Well Done
I thought we missed him on Friday wrt relaying messages to the players. There was very little direction from the touchline. The best example of this was Gelling's tap penalty in the second half. The players were looking up to the stand for ages but no signal appeared to be forthcoming so Gells took a decision himself.
