How have I wavered? It was a knock on and I stick by that 110% but as is everything on here it is only my opinion, I can't and don't speak for others!!cpwigan wrote:Whoa TB, you have gone from 110% knock on to wavering in response to a post. Make your mind up![]()

Having just got round to watching the recording, it was a clear knock on by McGuire and if the video referees could not see it, they need to pay a visit to a branch of their sponsors, who are in my opinion are the appropriate company to sponsor the present incompetent bunch of match officials we have seen in the history of the game.
Nearly every game these days involves some form of debatable decision which in many cases has a bearing on the result.
The biggest blight on our game, but nothing being done about by the RFL.

I thought it was a knock on but s Mike has stated it was sadly not as clear cut as some seem to think and the moment the referee says T it becomes even more difficult (that change came from the NRL by the way)

What he is saying is that it was a clear knock on, irrespective of the result and the way we played.cpwigan wrote:Are you saying we lost because of one error by an official(s)? You do realise some people thought it was a try (I didn't but some did)TrueBlueWarrior wrote:Again cp, that is not the point!! The bottom line is it shouldn't have been awarded but it was, I will say it again, the other way round it would have been a knock on all day long!! Why have we had 2 finals on the bounce where decisions have gone against us?
What annoys me is the way pressure was put on Thalor before the game with all the publicity, some of it coming from the RFL about Sinfield and Peacock retiring from the game and how nice it would be for them to go out in a "blaze of glory" as winners!

I agree entirely WW. As a result he had his worst game ever. Totally inconsistent; not blowing when he should; blowing when he shouldnt blow. If you observe really closely he seems to be constantly distracted (as if perhaps being guided by someone else!!!!!!!). Two small examples are the high tackle on Farrell which he seems to ignore (maybe playing advantage but for no obvious reason -- Farrell was knocked backwards by it!!!) but then second later after Farrell is tackled again he blows. Similarly late on he rushes into an incorrect decision by saying last tackle when Manfredi clearly and legally passes to Tomkins.
Re: Leeds it is!!!
Thought it went sideways myself. But hey, it can't have done because it was "clear". Definitely would have been given as a knock on 9 times out of 10 though.
Re: Leeds it is!!!
The high tackle was let go just as the one prior to that on Burrow was let go. Did you want lots of penalties and constant stoppages?Billgreenwoodsson wrote:I agree entirely WW. So CP you just choose to ignore the other examples of Referee mistakes which i point out to you and so you can stick to your statement that Wigan players made more mistakes than the referee? I see now as a first time contributor why almost everyone on here regard you as a person who talks absolute rubbish most of the time?
