Prop forward is an attritional position with those players in the squad suffering injuries often simultaniously. We have had Cooper, Havard, Ellis suffering injuries and we are told Byrne has been playing busted having pain killing jabs before he takes to the field. How they recover and the time it takes is unpredictable.
Our club, like others, have difficulty filling the prop positions with the right calibre and all other facets of the game props are required to play and it has always been so.
How many props to sign, their age, experience playing and injury record has all to be taken into account.
Cooper and Havard hopefully will make full recoveries and will play a great part in the squad going forward.
The club do appear to have made some really good prop forward signings in Dupree, Walters & Chan. They together with the other forwards at the club seem like some of the most talented players available.

We should get Matthew Lodge in on a decent deal and take James Tamou for one season, plenty of experience with those two
