I would like to thank DaveO for his updates. I wasn't able to go or listen this week due to working late so gave some context.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

No problem. You wouldn’t have had the updates if it was a Saints game or a nail-biter!

Wigan did what they had to and improved the points difference which is all you can ask against a weak side like the one HKR put out. Hill and Nsemba played long minutes and both did well. Wardle was great and there was a big cheer when Mago scored his try. It’s pity earlier on after him carrying half the HKR team 20m the resulting break ended with a forward pass. I can’t remember who it was but the last player just overran the pass. Hope they show it on the highlights on Wigan Tv for those who have it despite it not resulting in a score.

People were saying, it's a no-win situation, but I don't think we can complain at that. Some great tries scored, and points difference improved. I thought Miski had another stormer; quite apart from his four tries, he does so much good work. French at 6 looks better and more composed each week. As last week, his effective kicks into the in-goal were telling. Nsemba, despite dropping the ball with his first touch, was good and really looks the part.

The team couldn't have done anymore really.
They played very attractive rugby and was good to watch. HKR lads did try hard but they didn't have any answer to the quality of Wigan's first team squad.
Whether it pays off for Peters we'll find out next week.

Good to see long minutes for Mago, Hill & Nsemba.
Some good moves tried, some came off some didn't.
What the idea was to give Miski tries in the corner and not passing to the inside player who could have gone under the sticks, I don't know but it did make us wonder what was going on!
A lot of play went through Marshall in the 2nd half and was good to see him score towards the end.

Can’t abide it when teams send out weakened teams the slight regret is Wigan didn’t put 70 on them, disingenuous to home, fans, home team and most importantly the away fans who, travelled over in decent numbers, don’t care it’s Wembley next week that’s an excuse but nothing against it in the rules so they can get away with it.

With luck Leigh will hummer them next week rendering tonight’s miserable performance even more pointless.

As for the performance Wigan put in well can’t ask for much more other than getting to 70 I suppose it was that one sided, good to see Peet didn’t do the same and field a weakened team,I note Cust seemed to have problems with his shoulder again.

Went deliberately for Miski! Trying to get him high try’s score
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Surely that. And I don't think that's a bad thing at all, just shows good team spirit. Like all sport, rugby league is in the entertainment business.

Very enjoyable game and it's not often you can say that about such a one sided affair! Testament to the entertaining play Wigan were putting on. The Smith try was as good a team try as I've seen and has the crowd on their feet even though the game was already won.

Marshall was my pick for MOM. I thought he was outstanding in that 2nd half. Good performances from everyone in Cherry and White though.
