Exactly we still have four trophies, how many do Wire have.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:48 am Calm down boys and girls, I didn’t see any trophies being handed out tonight! Yes Warrington were far superior but it is not the end of the world. It is now time for the coaching staff to earn their money and turn this mini blip around. If we stop putting round pegs into square holes then things will improve. The balance of our team is way off kilter. Promote like for like, if we have a centre injured then select a centre out of the reserves/academy. If you are going to select four props on the bench then make the game an arm wrestle. If you are going to select a young half the give him the freedom to play. It is a learning curve for everyone, I would be happy to bet good money that we will come good when it matters.
Regarding Wire, I would like to complement Powell and William who I thought were excellent and ran the show tonight.
Just because someone stumbles, doesn’t mean they’ve lost their way. They just need a little help to stand up again.

As has been alluded to already I think certain players (mentioning no names, but we all know who they are) have carried us . I know MP is a lovely chap but I’m not sure he is suited to the cut and thrust of coaching at the highest level. As EEP has said, why the heck does Smith kick on every last ptb , so predictable. Even an idiot like me can see we need to mix it up a bit.
Why we would play with 4 props on the bench when we have a young lad in the halves and the possibility of an injury to a back is beyond me. In a close game it may pay off but if youare up against it attack wise as we were tonight it gives us no options to try something different.
Also, if anyone is in doubt about Byrne’s suitability as a Wigan player I hope tonight’s effort has convinced you he just hasn’t got the temperament to make it as a starting prop (although not many convinced tonight but they at least have credit in the bank).
I think we should also be looking at a new right sided winger as I think Miski for all of his endeavours lacks the pace to worry the opposition ( not just because he had a stinker tonight ). We
Blimey some sense. 100% agree. Can't believe what doom and the end is nigh sh,t I'm reading its July 4 trophies in cabinet lost against 2nd best team in league without our 1 3 6 and 9 come on give your heads a wobble.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2024 12:48 am Calm down boys and girls, I didn’t see any trophies being handed out tonight!
