I too have a broad taste, from the avant garde Frank Zappa to the pop of Captain & Tenille, From Thrash Metal (Death Angel) to Hair/Glam Metal (Cinderella) lets not forget Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Funk, Classic Rock, Indie (Madchester/90's), Soul (60's/70's), Rhythm & Blues, Alternative Rock, Grunge, Old School Dance, 60's/70's/80's Pop, Folk, Reggae, NWOBHM, Rock N Roll, Stoner Rock, Americana and a whole host of sub genres within the music world

that was a quote from alan partridge medloke but i do have a broad taste of music, i like bands like the beatles, the big O to bands like led zepplin, sabboth, iggy and the stooges, a bit of punk but not a great deal, metal bands like metalica, iron maiden, grunge, early hip hop, the pixies, some dance, the prodigy, went through a stage where i was a head banger between 14-18 but mellowed out since then, but still like alot of bands which i liked back then like foo fighters (more so there early albums) and the strokes. i like most things although a lot of modern indie is rubbish and all about image and less about individuality of the music, but alternitive rock is my preffered choice in music. sorry if this hasnt made much sense as i have just gone off on a tangent

how many albums have you got medloke as you seen to have a very keen interest in music

not quite sure how many, haven't counted them lately but i would think it is somewhere around the 3500 mark maybe, i've loaded everything i own onto the pc and there is 28,677 songs, by 1405 artists/bands, can't be bothered messing around to find how many albums there is, i love music, no matter how much you accumulate theres always new bands to discover.

Lol, I am going back over a decade, I went to all sorts of places back then and did a lot of things I aren't especially proud of. As far as rock clubs go I spent a lot of time at Rio's in Bradford where you could slam people all over the place but people would always make sure you got picked up and were safe.. things changed very quickly a few years ago.

Rio's was great I made th trip over there a few times to watch bands then enjoy the club after. Saw Love/Hate a couple of times, Skid Row, Soilwork, Paradise Lost and a few others.

The first time we went it was just for the sake of the club but we didn't check what was going on that night and Blaze were playing and they wanted about £12 or something to get in while the gig was on or comeback later. We ended up wondering off in what we thought was the town centre when these fellas came over and said there was a pub closer by. When we got there it had a load of rockers in there singing karaoke. My favourite was a punk version of bob the builder.

When we eventually went back to Rio's Blaze was playing his encore but they let us in for the lower price. Trouble is he (Blaze Baily) did a couple of encores. Not a fan.

Great venue with good sound shame it closed.
