It's very simple IMO, I actually think the hooker has become more important than the stand off in modern RL. I would put him on a par with a scrum half. For me 9,7 or 6 and 1 should be your best 3 players with a shithouse prop not far behind. Is Piggy one of our 3 best players? No. Do you think he is? I would also say that the best are 80 minute hookers. You want them to disctate your play and thus they have to be one of the fittest players in the team. Like fullbacks, hookers have to be all over the place and I do not think Piggy can do that. If we want an Aussie that we could realistically sign, Aaron Payne. Dreamworld lol Cameron Smith

Who remained at Parra in 2009 and who left? Anderson put up with Piggy not a chance and in his absence Parra improved. The facts are there re Piggy. He peaked in 2005 when he was at St George. Did he not? Afterall you want to use stats Ellery. I prefer what I see with my own eyes and Piggy would not get a gig in the NRL.
you can use your own eyes but sadly your not a coach and coaches generally use stats

Hagan, bit like Noble isn't he, past success, now working for Fox TV. Phil Gould described Parra as a pub team in 2008. However, if it was entirely down to the coach why did Piggy's form deteriorate after he left St George whilst under Brian Smith. Anderson got rid of the bad eggs and Piggy would have been one. Do provide the stats you have my attention. Keating a teenager was pushing him out IMO. BTW what is you opinion, do you rate Piggy and if so why? I think he is a bad signing personally and I do not think Maguire would have sanctioned his signing had he been coach at the time.

Those stats indicate Piggy peaked in 2004/ 2005. We signed someone on the downward. A huge risk when hooker is such a key position. I would argue 7 or 6, 9 and 1 are the 3 key positions in modern RL with a great prop not far behind.
Give you like stats Ellery, what do those stats show?
