The most sensible post on this topic yet.

As I said "Four points out of the next six would be a very good return given the injuries. "

If we get 0 out of 6 points it won't mean we can't win the cup or the playoffs but it will prevent us winning the league again IMO.

People wrote Bradford off when they won it from third but the way things panned out with injuries for them and the other sides in the competition above them it was a big regret of mine I didn't have a little bet on them winning it from 3rd as I remember back then thinking they ought to be favourites.

No, I will not sit there and slit my wrists for showing disloyalty. Neither will I have a continual moan about the team or the coach until such time as it warrants it. Which is not at present when we have so many injuries in the forwards and playing games handled by second rate match officials.
No one continually moans about the team or coach. If you think they do you are reading what you want to read.

Do you think the way Wigan played v London in the 1st half wasn't worthy of criticism?

Each team is coached to a specific game plan and the only thing that upsets the best laid plans of the coaches are the unforced errors, the lack of discipline, poor defensive reads and sloppy tackling. No matter how many "plans" Tony Smith or Brian McDermott have, neither can change a thing if his team makes a string of unforced errors etc. The only thing any coach can do differently is make sure his bench covers for any situation and swap those on field players around should they be struggling (for whatever reason) during gameplay
That is not correct. As others have pointed out teams do change tactics during games both on attack and defence.

Even if they didn't there is still the issue of whether or not "the" game plan is effective from one week to the next. Wane has changed the game pan from Madge so in the context of this thread there is discussion on him having done that never mind whether he is capable of switching things around mid-game if it isn't working.

Watching Melbourne beat Leeds reminded me of Wigan under Madge. One tactic/ploy I think I may have seen us use v London and we need more of is a short back inside pass to Sam al a Slater. If all we do is use second man plays it can become predictable. Likewise, I loved the angle Hoffman too as the lead runner for the 1st try. Liam Farrell can and does do similar.

I thought the Melbourne game plan was so smart, simple but brilliant.

Yes, it was poor, but the performance was rectified at half time by the Coach.

If SW was that good, this thread would not exist....

No gripes from me when Madge was in the same seat.
