Sam staying???????

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

A very badly handled situation which is making all parties look bad and casting negativity over a situation which could have been much better communicated!

Seems that the Chairman is the main cause of the 'secrecy'!

You haven't fallen for this tripe have you?

We need him here over the next three years not in the NRL.

If they bring back P&R in 2015 and we end up as in 2006 where would you rather Sam be? Playing for us keeping us away from the relegation zone or in the NRL becoming a better player?

We have few class players in our side as it is and Lockers won't go on forever.

This idea of shipping players out to return better players is spin of the highest order dreamt up by IL to paper over his willingness to sell our best players. It's very lame IMO.

I agree with you, it's now we want them not in 3years time
when they have had the stuffing knocked out of them.
What makes anyone think they will come back better players??

as he stands today personally I think hes one of the most overated players in the league ,get rid and use his salary on someone who can perform every week not once every blue moon against lower table clubs

Why all the secrecy? If he is going then announce it. I can only think that it has something to do with sponsorship for next year and trying to get the most they can from companies who still think Sam is playing next year and will be photographed wearing their logo in various magazines and newspapers.

I think some will come back - but it will be down to homesickness/not settling rather than contractual terms. Sam may be fed up after 3 months, or he may stay forever - who knows.

I agree - we need him playing for us now, not in three years - even if he does come back. Its a very bad move from the club to let him go after agreeing a contract that could have kept him at the club.

If the contract was only to ensure we got a transfer fee then we had better spend that transfer fee immediately on a player as good if not better than Sam. If we do then fair enough, if we don't then serious questions need to be asked.

I'm also fed up about the length of time the club have insisted on the media blackout. ALthough, perhaps the deal has not been signed until recently. You are not really allowed to talk about deals that haven't been signed, so until the fine detail is agreed you can't talk about it.

Par for the course though Mike re Wigan under IL letting situations run and run and run. Brian Noble was the classic example.
