Correct and no matter who the club sign, there will always be those who complain that they are not good enough.

Always has been and always will be.

I think it is not negative BUT the expectation of Wigan fans when anybody pulls on the Cherry n White shirt is immense. Far greater than any other British RL Club. The high expectations and huge demands are why Wigan are the most successful RL club in British history.

Expectations is one thing but one bad game and the knifes are already getting put in.

Sarginson has high hopes for England future

DAN Sarginson believes England’s future is bright, despite the team coming-up short in their bid to reach this year’s Four Nations Final.

Sarginson has been one of the success stories of the tournament after a brilliant opening two games of his international career.

He now feels the good times are just around the corner for the national side.

He said: “We know we are only inches away and we know we have got something special here.

“We had a big talk on Friday night and there are some really passionate people in the group.

“It is a young group and it can only get better. We knew if we didn’t make the final that in years to come we have got something special.

“We have had as upbeat a conversation as you can get in the changing rooms.”

Sarginson set up two tries for Ryan Hall while Charnley also went over in a move involving Matty Smith and Sean O’Loughlin.

However, it was just not enough as two Gareth Widdop conversions that hit the post and a dropped ball from Hall proved decisive.

But Sarginson saw plenty in the way England played to be happy.

He added: “The plays we put on specifically for Australia and New Zealand were different plays for each team because we know their weaknesses so put it down to the coaching staff and it was really well executed by the two half backs we have got this year.

“Even the props were getting involved and saw James Graham getting his hands on the ball so yes it was good. It was good at times but it is just a shame about the result.

“We knew we wanted to win and we were confident we could get a score. We didn’t really know what a draw would do at the time but we were confident we could get the try but it wasn’t to be.”

Meanwhile, Wigan players have been caught up in the video that shows England ace Josh Hodgson smashing down a door.

Josh Charnley, Joe Burgess and Sarginson are definitely seen in the recording that has left the Four Nations tour under a cloud.

A group of players ended up at a student party in Dunedin after the heartbreaking 16-14 loss to New Zealand.

And in the tape, everyone can be heard encouraging Hodgson to run through the door, which Charnley shuts.

The Canberra new boy duly obliges in the early hours of Sunday after England’s players were allowed out by coach Steve McNamara.

Australia’s 44-18 win over Samoa condemned England to an early exit and no team rules were broken.

But the episode is an unnecessary blight on what has been a successful Four Nations campaign.

Wonder who exactly released this info to the press? Not making excuses for the players but extreme high jinks for pro RL players isn't that unusual and the only mention of England's loss to the kiwis in the Daily Wail today, headlined this event.

I've no doubt the offenders will be dealt with but I hope the grub who phoned the papers has nothing but bad luck with his/her blood money.
